Timelapse Watch Face Issue
Favor from:
Hi
The following steps may help (check after each before moving on to the next):
- If you have not yet done so, update your iPhone and Apple Watch to the latest software, starting with your iPhone:
- On your iPhone, go to: Settings > General > Date & Time:
- Check that Set Automatically is enabled.
- On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Privacy > Location Services:
- Check that Location Services is enabled.
- If the setting is already turned on, try turning it off, pausing for a few moments and then re-enabling it.
- Check that Apple Watch Faces is set to While Using.
- Toggling the setting to Never and back again may help.
- At the bottom, tap on System Services > check that Setting Time Zone is enabled (you may also wish to enable all other system services, if they are not presently enabled).
- Check that Location Services is enabled.
- Check that your Apple Watch and iPhone are connected via Bluetooth:
- Restart (normally) both your iPhone and your Apple Watch, turning both devices off together, then restarting your iPhone first:
- Make the following changes to your watch face collection:
- Add the Astronomy watch face to the collection on your Apple Watch > select it as the active watch face and wait for the green dot to show your location before switching back to the Timelapse watch face:
- Remove the Timelapse watch face from the collection on your Apple Watch, restart both devices again and then add the Timelapse watch face back again.
- If the issue persists, unpair and re-pair your Apple Watch:
- The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch automatically when unpairing via the app.
- Initially choose to Restore from Backup during set up (most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions, such as Apple Pay cards, passcode).
- If the issue persists, consider instead unpairing and setting it up as a new watch.
- Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone - Apple Support
- Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support
If the issue persists, then I suggest that you contact Apple Support (remote diagnostics and/or mail-in service may be available, if required), make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider for assistance:

After upgrade to iOS 11.2.5 iPhone 6 no longer communicates with Apple Watch 3
Favor from:
Thank you very much.
I had to unpair the watch from iPhone, which resulted in unpairing and back-up and a warning that the watch was not properly paired, so I was told to reset the watch to factory settings.
I reset the watch.
Then, both watch and iPhone were in a position to pair each other. The process was more sophisticated and took longer than my first pairing. there was also a synchronization phase, but after 10 to 15 minutes the watch was paired again and looked the same as before unpairing. It took some more minutes so that all the applications to be installed again on the watch (this was done automatically).
Very happy to have my watch working again!

duplicate calendar notifications apple watch series 3
Favor from:
Hi richboroerik,
It looks like you are receiving two notifications for all of your calendar alerts on your Apple Watch. You don't receive two alerts on the iPhone and you have the Apple Watch setting to mirror the iPhone. What I'd like you have you do is to:
- Turn the notifications off for the calendar on both devices
- Restart both the Apple Watch and the iPhone
- Turn the notifications back on for each device
Regards.

Apple Watch Series 1 - Activity App
Favor from:
Hi
Apple Watch does not recognise when you are sleeping.
To prevent notification alerts - including Stand and Breathe reminders - on your Apple Watch from disturbing you, but to still receive audible alerts for alarms and timers, turn on Do Not Disturb:
- On your Apple Watch: when viewing the time, swipe up on the watch face to open Control Centre > tap the Do Not Disturb button (crescent moon icon) to toggle the mode on and off.
- Use the Control Center on your Apple Watch - Apple Support
Your Apple Watch and iPhone can also be configured such that enabling Do Not Disturb mode on one device also enables it on the other.
This setting also applies to scheduled operation of the mode on your iPhone - which you may wish to set for a nightly schedule, covering the hours when you are usually sleeping:
- On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > Do Not Disturb - turn on Mirror iPhone.
- On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Do Not Disturb - turn on Scheduled and set your preferred times.
It is not otherwise possible to limit Stand reminders to a specific time window.
If you would like to submit a feature request to Apple for any other options, then you can do so here:

How can i restore the ability of my apple watch to count steps?
Favor from:
Hi
Once it has been set up, the Activity app tracks your steps automatically in the background, both during general daily wear and during workouts:
If steps are not being tracked, then it may help to check your settings:
- On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > Privacy - turn on Fitness Tracking (and Heart Rate).
- On your iPhone, go to: Settings > Privacy > Motion & Fitness - check that both Fitness Tracking and Health are enabled.
It is not possible to change any of the Activity app goal rings to reflect steps taken or to show steps on the watch face via any other built-in complication.
The Activity app also does not include a daily steps goal or allow one to be set. Your daily steps total can be viewed:
- Via the Activity app on your watch:
- Open the app and scroll to the bottom of the screen.
- Via the Activity app on your iPhone:
- Select to view a day's results, then scroll to the bottom to see Steps and Distance.
- Via the Health app on your iPhone:
- Go to Health Data > Activity > Steps.
- Adding Steps to Favourites adds it to top section of the Today screen (accessed via the Today tab) and the Favourites section within the Activity category.
- Use the Health app on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support
If you would prefer to set and monitor progress towards step goals and/or to keep track of your steps on the watch face, then you can use a third-party app and also add a complication to your watch face:
Apps that you may wish to consider include, for example:
- Pedometer++ on the App Store
- Integrates with the Health app and offers watch face complications:
