That means the apps were 32 bit, and they now are required to be 64 bit.  Developers were given sufficient notice to update their apps.  Your best bet would be to reach out to them to request they update them.

Apple has no control to make 3rd party developers create or update apps, beyond approving distribution.

Good Luck.

What kind of bull crap is that, one just needs to check the under-carriage before saddling up and getting on.

I could not see the news app(eenadu) in the App store of My Mac mini, however the same app is available in the AppStore of my iPad and iPhone, Any idea on why this difference?

Because MacOS and iOS are two different operating systems and not all software developers write App's that work for both operating systems.

After a call with Apple Support (thanks, Jennifer!) we were able to work through this:

  1. I fixed the payment information on my account (somehow saved in an incomplete fashion)
  2. Signed out of the Apple ID on my iOS device; afterward, signed in again.
  3. At this point I could download new apps, but could not download updates to apps already installed
  4. However, I could delete an app and then re-install it fresh from the App Store.

We never quite figured out why it was happening, but at least we got around it.

Thanks but it’s what I already mentioned that this version is exclusive to snow leopard users. Mavericks users can’t download it.

I have however found a copy in someone’s google drive. Now I have to determine if it’s been compromised in any way. I wonder if there is like an md5 system for apple files.

I managed to do this via XCode:

- connect the iPhone to the Mac running XCode: Window->Devices and Simulators

- open the Devices window, click on the iPhone in the list of devices

- Drag the .ipa file to the "installed apps" section of the window

The app installed and my user data was retained.
