No. When you 'copy' a photo into an album you are only effectively creating a pointer to that photo, not creating a second copy of it - so if you delete the original photo from the Camera Roll album you will also be removing it from all albums that you've 'copied' it into

Yes, if you have two factor authentication enabled on your AppleID, then all devices associated with your AppleID will be required to use it. You cannot pick and choose which devices under your AppleID Account use or do not use the service.  Since they are all tied to your AppleID, the security featuee for that AppleID applies to all.

Two factor authentication is about protecting your AppleID, not your devices themselves. Since your AppleID is logged in on a device, the system won’t let you un-enroll just one device.

To use messages app (SMS/MMS) you need an active SIM card (cellular data).

To use email or iMessages you need cellular data or wifi connection.

What I would do.....

Back up the New Mac HD volume and the NewVol volume (if it has data on it).

Delete these two volumes so their space merges into the Unformatted volume.

Erase the Unformatted volume and format with Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and GUID partition map scheme giving you a single 1TB volume.

Re-install the OS via Internet Recovery using Command+Option+R if High Sierra was never installed which will let you reinstall the OS that shipped with your Mac. Or the same key combination if High Sierra was installed which will let you reinstall HS. Or if you have a USB thumb drive installer of the OS you had on it, reboot with this thumb drive and install the OS.

Migrate data from the New Mac HD back up to the 1TB Unformatted volume and manually copy data from the NewVol,
