My iPad had no problems connecting to other wifi networks at work, at the airport and at a hotel. unpluging the home router for 30 seconds fixed the problem with the iPad.

How long it takes may depend on whether they agree to do so at all. The only reasons to blacklist it under normal circumstances are because it was reported lost or stolen or the account holder who was using it reneged on their contractual obligations, didn't pay their bill or termination fee, etc. I'd imagine the seller is going to have to cough up some cash to get this resolved.

 

You may just want to consider returning it and getting your money back.

I understand you are seeing a red X on your Apple Watch series 3.  That indicates that your Apple Watch has lost connection with your iPhone.  The resource below explains how to reestablish the connection.  I've highlighted some key information here for you.  Click on the links for complete details.

Check the connection between your devices

There are two ways to check the connection between your Apple Watch and iPhone:

  • If you see red Disconnected icon or X icon on the watch face, you don't have a connection.
  • Swipe up on the watch face to open Control Center, which shows if your devices are connected. You can also tap  iPhone icon. If connected, your iPhone should make a "ping" sound.
