Unless your iPhone has been jailbroken, then it is spam. If you were using Safari, force closed Safari and go into Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data. Then restart the phone. You should be alright after that.

It is a scam.    Apple do not approach their clients like that.    They do provide guidance in these documents but the key factors are … Apple will always address you by your name or the name they know you by and that email will always come from an address that ends ‘@apple.com’.    It goes without saying that the grammar and spelling will always be correct.

Important. Never click on links within a pop up or in any email that you suspect.

You are providing advice that is contrary to advice often provided by helpers in this community. It is not recommended nor necessary to install any third party app that claims to protect, clean, manage, boost performance, etc. Anti virus apps are examples of such apps.

I would erase the disk and restore from a backup made prior to giving the scammer access. That should be sufficient if you didn't allow access to any other devices/computers. Being vigilant should be enough for the other devices/computers given what you are intending to do.

iDevice Safari Phishing Adware Popups

  1. Kill Safari by double-tapping on the Home button. Locate Safari in the taskbar, then slide the Safari mini-page upwards so it vanishes.
  2. Tap Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. Next, locate Security section and slide the “Block Pop-Ups” switch to the On position.
  3. Press the Home button to return to your Home screen.
  4. If this doesn’t help, then reset your device. It won't delete your data. Press and hold down the On/Off button and the Home button until the display turns off and returns with the Apple logo showing.

Alternatively, follow these instructions to reset your device: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
