Hey everyone,

After reading the lock user's manual, I decided to reset the connection of the lock and my iPhone. Once reset, re-establish the connection again and voila, Siri is now working with this lock like before.

Thanks for reading though

If you like it, it still works and meets your needs, just keep using it. However if there are newer apps you’d like to use that require iOS 11, you will have to buy a newer device.

Hi

Apple does not currently offer an upgrade program for Apple Watch, but it does offer a trade-in service for Apple Watch in certain countries.

Follow the links here (for the US, for example) for more information and to get an estimate of the trade-in value, based on your Apple Watch model and its condition:

If you are in a different country, then visit the corresponding page for your country instead, if available.

Are those USB 3.0 drives with a USB-A to USB-micro-B cable?  Maybe older drives?

I'd suggest looking on the Apple symbol > About This Mac and click on System Report.  On USB you should be able to look up the USB tree and see how they're all laid out.  The thing that would cause the most issues is if they're not getting enough power from the hub.  Your HooToo hub should indicate how much current it has available for the devices, and each device connected to that hub should indicate how much current is required.  I've heard of too many devices on the same hub underreporting their current needs, where they failed to work once they pulled too much current.

If your Mac is set up with a different language, then I assume you can translate.

Which hub?

The one thing I noticed is that two of their hubs (HT-UC001, HT-UC002) have firmware updates available under Specs/Download, and instructions on how to update the firmware.

I solved the problem myself.  What I had to do was go into Library/Preferences/Audio, and delete the preferences.  Then I emptied the trash and restarted the machine.  New preferences files were created and the problem was solved.

What surprised me though is that this used to be the classic fix for the old OS 9 and earlier pre-unix operating systems. I did not know you could do this with OS X too.   It would also seem that no else knows it too, because of the hundreds of sites and forums I have read in the last 4 days.  This solution was never once suggested by any.

iCloud Photo Library will download all photos.  The purpose is to keep the Photos Library in sync and identical on all devices.  So you will see always all photos and videos and albums on all devices.

If you use "Optimize Storage" for the Photos Library on your iPhone or iPad, some photos will download in a smaller, optimized version, if you are running out of storage on the device. The smaller, optimized version will be required,  so you can browse the library. But to edit or share the photo, you will have to wait for the full version to download from iCloud.

As a rule of thumb, if the library needs 50 GB on your Mac, it will probably need at least 5GB on the iPhone, even optimized.

So you gave someone permission to use your account. The same thing would happen if you did that with a Samsung or any other smartphone.

Why didn't you have 2 Factor Authentication enabled, as Apple repeatedly asked you to do? That would have prevented this from happening. Apple can provide the tools to protect you and your account, but they are not responsible if you don't use them.

The radios (cellular/wifi/bluetooth/GPS) necessary for locating your iPhone are what consume the most power in any phone, even more than the screen. Try to enable plane mode and see how much longer your battery lasts, you'll be amazed. In my opinion, that's why the feature you are thinking of currently cannot exist, because of these technical limitations.

I removed my locked iPad from the devices in Find my iPhone but when I open it all I get in the display is the Apple sign
