Just an update. I stopped using Apple calendar after the dots disappeared that showed me days when I had meetings etc. Just too much trouble to search for things. I did send a request to support to reinstate it but then nothing happened. But sometime over the Christmas holidays, the dots came back to my calendar. Nice to be able to use it again.

11.2.2 Calendar issue
Favor from:
Hello JC2004,
I understand that calendar events created on the iPhone aren't showing in your iPhone calendar but if you create the event on your Mac, those events sync over to the phone and show without issue. You've done some good steps to help with this. The following article has some additional information for this issue:

Let me know how things go.
Have a wonderful day.

Calendar app disappeared from Apple Watch (still on iPhone)
Favor from:
Hi
I suggest unpairing and re-pairing your Apple Watch:
- The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch automatically when unpairing via the app.
- Initially choose to Restore from Backup during set up (most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions, such as Apple Pay cards, passcode).
- If the issue persists, consider instead unpairing and setting it up as a new watch.
- Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone - Apple Support
- Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support

I think that will work Philly_Phan, great suggestion. I don't have them enabled on my phone and the event notifications are still synced from my Mac. I think setting that would be the nuclear option, since it would make all events notify and not just the specific ones you want.

Unable to add events to Calendar on iPad
Favor from:
Hi Le-fawne,
This can happen when the internet connection is lost, so you are no longer able to use iCloud.
If you do have a connection, look at Settings, iCloud, does it have your Apple ID showing?
If not, then login.
Tap through iCloud, verify that Calendar is switched on for iCloud.
If not, you could try turning Calendar off, keeping events on the iPad, this should make it a separate item, self contained on the iPad, separate from iCloud, so you can then add an event.
Then later, turn it back on, to get updates from iCloud, if you'd made any changes on your other Apple ID linked devices.
Hope that makes sense.

duplicate calendar notifications apple watch series 3
Favor from:
Hi richboroerik,
It looks like you are receiving two notifications for all of your calendar alerts on your Apple Watch. You don't receive two alerts on the iPhone and you have the Apple Watch setting to mirror the iPhone. What I'd like you have you do is to:
- Turn the notifications off for the calendar on both devices
- Restart both the Apple Watch and the iPhone
- Turn the notifications back on for each device
Regards.
