Hi. The iOS Mail app can only see folders on the mail server, and then only when using IMAP. It cannot see folders created locally on your computer.

Try logging in to your provider's webmail in a browser. The iPad can only see the folders in the webmail.

Check the settings for your Mail account to confirm you're using IMAP (server name begins with "imap.") and not POP3.

Hi Dizang. FileExplorer can directly access Windows shared folders (SMB shares) over the network.

Google Drive, or another cloud server, as suggested, is a good option, provided you always have internet access. It's not so handy if you spend a lot of time offline. Still useful as a backup option, of course.

Are you using iCloud Photo Library? My guess is you are - High Sierra has an all new Photos which requires a lot of back ground processing to convert the entire library and sync it with ICPL - lets things settle for a couple of days with the Mac powered adn awake and things should get updated and back to notmal

Hi zna2212!

It sounds like your documents are being synced to iCloud Drive and you'd like to revert to how you had it setup before, and I'm happy to help.  You can follow these instructions to turn off Desktop and Documents in iCloud Drive.  If this doesn't resolve the issue for you, please reply to this thread with further information:

Turn off Desktop and Documents

When you turn off Desktop & Documents Folders, your files stay in iCloud Drive and a new Desktop and Documents folder is created on your Mac in the home folder. You can move files from iCloud Drive to your Mac as you need them, or select all of your files and drag them to the place you want to keep them.

  1. From your Mac, go to Apple menu  > System Preferences > iCloud.
  2. Next to iCloud Drive, click Options.
  3. Deselect Desktop & Documents Folders.
  4. Click Done.

If you turn off iCloud Drive or sign out of iCloud, you have the option to keep a local copy of your files that are in iCloud Drive. Whether you decide to keep a local copy or not, a new Desktop and Documents folder is created in your home folder. If you choose to keep a local copy, your files in iCloud Drive are copied to a folder called iCloud Drive (Archive) in your home folder. Then you have the option to move any files that were in your iCloud Desktop and Documents, back to your new local Desktop and Documents.

Add your Desktop and Documents files to iCloud Drive

Cheers!

This will migrate all data though, you cannot pick and choose data to transfer. If you are unfamiliar with MA, please read up on How to move your content to a new Mac - Apple Support
