Reset watch because of passcode error; now it won't pair with phone

Last night the watch was functioning fine and I put it on the charger. When I took it off, it said the passcode was wrong and I had to re-enable the password from my Apple phone. I went to my Apple phone and tried to do this and I got a pop up box saying the watch was locked and I had to unlock it.

I attempted to unlock the watch from the phone several times but it would not let me get past the pop up box. I decided I had to reset the watch so I went to my phone and selected the option to unpair the watch from the phone. I thought once it was unpaired, I could set the watch up again.

I did this and now my watch is dead. There’s nothing on the watch. It looks bricked. Is the watch ruined?

Try force restarting your watch: press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown for around 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo, then release them and wait for the watch to restart.
