How to solve Playlist in Music freezing?
I have a playlist that I listen to at night while I sleep. It is set to play continuously otherwise I will wake up. For about a week now I have been get woken up by the silence 1-3 time per night because the music app is frozen mid playlist. I have to force close the app and open it again and start the playlist again. I have checked setting and everything seems to be in order. Any ideas on an actual solution to this problem that doesn’t have me up at 3am force closing the music app? Please and thank you!!

Hi, cookiemonster722.
It seems that a playlist you use while sleeping will stop unexpectedly which interrupts your sleep. The Music application has stopped responding and you have to force close the Music app and restart the playlist. I'd want that fixed as well and I'm happy to help.
Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- First, force close the Music application if it's open, then -- Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- Restart your iPhone. Once it's returned to the Home screen, test the issue.
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch -- If restarting your phone didn't resolve the issue, please be sure to have a fresh backup to keep your personal information safe. In order to back up your Health data, the backup needs to be encrypted. iCloud does this automatically, but iTunes doesn't. If you'd like to use iTunes to back up your phone, refer to this article: About encrypted backups in iTunes
How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch -- Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage. After the list populates, scroll down to the Music application, then tap "Offload App". Once the application has been removed, reinstall it again and test. (If you subscribe to Apple Music, any music you've downloaded for offline playing will need to be downloaded again.)
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- If offloading isn't available, follow the steps in this article. Even though the title of the article isn't specific to your issue, the section titled "Put your device in recovery mode and set it up again" will walk you through all the steps to reinstall the iOS software on your device. Test the issue once your phone has returned to the Home screen.
Let me know how that goes.
Take care!
