Why does Safari sometimes refuse to export a page as a PDF?

Safari is is often my favorite search engine since it not only offers "Reader" view but provides the capability to export a page as a PDF file. I use it often for that purpose, but too frequently after I have used "Export as PDF" a few times it no longer functions. After I click "Save" nothing happens, and nothing appears where I intended to save a document. The same applies when I "Print" and try to save as a PDF. Safari seems to become hung up, requiring me to force quit. When reopening after a force quit I am still unable to use "Export as PDF."

Hi,

Might be a cache issue ...

Open the Finder.

From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Then copy / paste the following:

~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari

Then click Go then from the Finder window that opens move the Cache.db file to the Trash.

Then quit and relaunch Safari and try exporting to PDF.
