2010 Mac Book Pro won't boot up

mac book pro 2010 froze after days warning "low battery". Been using the power cord with no problems, charge holds for 1-2 hours... Now got locked out and will not boot. I have done first aid on all HD, Toshiba storage disk- and OSX Base Sytem in utilities from command R...get that window option. I have used Time Machine back up for a year onto external HD and now don't see past year back ups on that external HD!

Is my Storage partition on the Toshiba disk (Logical Partition) making boot problems?

MacBook
Pro, macOS Sierra (10.12), I had Sierra, now Lion?

No, your battery is dead and needs to be replaced. OS X Base System is not a real disk. Make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar for service. If you need to find an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple. Or you can buy a battery and replace it yourself. Visit OWC for batteries and tutorials.

If you have the 15" model then chuck it and buy a newer computer.
