iPhone 4S Email Syncing Issues

The stock mail app doesn't appear to be syncing my emails. I have a business email and when I delete some of the emails on my browser they still appear on my phone

Any suggestions for fixes would be great

How is mail set up? Exchange, IMAP, or POP?

POP as a protocol does not sync, so if you're using POP, then what you're seeing is what I'd expect. It's a limitation (or the expected behavior) of the protocol
